Udaipur Light Festival (ULF) - Udaipur Lantern Festival

A Udaipur light festival is one of several annual events organized  by UdaipurBlog and the part of the Festivals and among different cultures, to celebrate on  the Diwali festivals and beginning of the light seasons with art workshops, light designs, live music and street food. Originally, this kind of celebration had a religious and spiritual meaning, to celebrate the end of the dark period of the year and the beginning of the days of light.


Udaipur also known as the "City of Lakes" is a small city, municipal corporation and the administrative headquarters of the Udaipur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Udaipur is may be 2nd or 3rd most beautiful city in the world and so are the people of Udaipur.

which is generally considered as a rebirth of the spirit and the mind, a moment in which the good overcome the bad. Although each religion has a different interpretation of light, all these festivals are connected to an ancient celebration typical of the Hindu culture. This event was later processed by different cultures and religions according to their own features and believes.

Shilpgram

Shilpgram  is a rural arts and crafts complex, situated 3 km  west of the  city of  Udaipur , India. The center is spread over an undulating terrain of about 70 acres of land, surrounded by the  Aravali   mountains.  Shilpgram  is an ethnographic museum that depicts the lifestyles of the folk and tribal people of the region. With an objective of increasing awareness and knowledge about the rural arts and crafts, the  Shilpgram  provides opportunity to rural and urban artists to come together and interact through the process of camps and workshops. The huts are constructed around an interlocking occupational theme. In these traditional huts, household articles of everyday use, like terracotta, textile, wooden and metal items, decorative objects and implements are featured with appropriate signage and explanatory details with the objective to give a realistic glimpse of the people and their belongings.
